Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Financial Analyst II in Holmdel, NJ to drive analytics, forecasting, and strategic financial insights. You will build advanced financial models, create dashboards using Power BI and BST-based systems, and partner with senior leaders to deliver executive-ready analyses and presentations.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in financial analysis, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in ERP tools such as BST, Deltek, SAP, and Oracle.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
2–3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a data-driven or tech-enabled environment.
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, CoPilot, and ERP systems (BST, Deltek, SAP, Oracle).
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and forecasting techniques.
Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables and deliver results on time.
Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex data into clear insights.

Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Build and maintain advanced financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning across P&L, working capital, backlog, and other KPIs.
Data Analytics & Visualization: Leverage tools like Power BI, Excel, CoPilot, and our ERP system (BST) to create dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights to leadership and operational teams.
Performance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and synthesize drivers of financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
Strategic Support: Partner with the Director of Finance, CFO and senior leaders to prepare executive-level presentations, business reviews, and shareholder materials that explain the “why” behind financial outcomes.
Process Improvement: Contribute to initiatives that streamline workflows, enhance data governance, and improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
M&A & Due Diligence: Support acquisition analysis, integration planning, and ROI scenario development as part of the company’s growth strategy.
