Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Financial Analyst II to join our finance team. This role emphasizes data analytics, financial modeling, and strategic insight to support decision-making and enhance reporting across the organization.

The position requires 2–3 years of experience in financial analysis, strong Excel and Power BI skills, and familiarity with ERP systems. You will partner with senior leaders on reports, analyses, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis in a data-driven or tech-enabled environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, CoPilot, and ERP systems (BST, Deltek, SAP, Oracle).
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables on time.
• Strong communication skills to translate data into clear insights for leadership.
• Experience with financial systems implementation or enhancement is a plus (OneStream, TM1, Hyperion, etc).
• Ability to read, write and understand English for written job communications.

Responsibilities

• Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Build and maintain advanced financial models across P&L, working capital, backlog and KPIs.
• Data Analytics & Visualization: Create dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel, CoPilot and BST.
• Performance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and identify drivers of financial performance.
• Strategic Support: Prepare executive presentations and shareholder materials explaining the why behind outcomes.
• Process Improvement: Improve data governance and reporting accuracy and timeliness.
• M&A & Due Diligence: Support acquisition analysis, integration planning and ROI scenarios.
