Job summary

The D. E. Shaw group is seeking a Financial Analyst for the FA&R team within Financial Operations in New York. You will develop and maintain financial models, produce reports, and analyze data to support strategic decisions at the executive level.

Requires at least two years in financial analysis or data analytics and a relevant bachelor's degree. A year-end bonus and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in financial analysis or data analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, or related field.
• Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Discretion with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting and forecasting.
• Produce recurring and ad hoc reports for FinOp and leadership, highlighting trends.
• Analyze financial and operational data to generate insights for decisions.
• Build standardized reporting frameworks, dashboards, and analytics tools.
• Partner with FinOp colleagues to address business questions and build capabilities.
