Job summary

Wonder in New York is seeking a Finance Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of initiatives across the organization, from process redesign to regulatory compliance and financial system implementations. You will lead cross-functional teams and manage projects through kickoff to post-implementation review.

The role requires 5+ years in finance or operations project management, familiarity with GAAP/IFRS, SOX, and PM tools like Jira and Smartsheet.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field; Master’s/MBA preferred.
5+ years of cross-functional project management in finance or business operations.
Experience delivering process redesigns, compliance/regulatory initiatives, and tech upgrades.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end projects across process improvement, regulatory/compliance rollouts, and finance tech upgrades.
Scope multi-phase initiatives, set timelines, allocate resources, and define roadmaps with milestones.
Manage full lifecycle: kickoff, requirements, planning, execution, monitoring, risk mitigation, post-implementation review.
Map current workflows, design improvements, and ensure control mechanisms and regulatory alignment.
Partner with Legal/HR/IT/Operations and communicate progress with exec sponsors and leadership.
