Job summary

Monzo seeks a Senior Finance Business Partner to join the Commercial finance team in London. You will support the Borrowing portfolio, including Flex Credit, Loans and Overdrafts, and manage end-to-end financials and controls to inform strategic decisions.

The role requires building business cases, presenting investment options, and delivering insights from data while collaborating with engineering, risk, product, and marketing as Monzo scales.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrable experience in financial business partnering with senior leaders, driving commercial projects and evaluating business cases.
• Strong ability to navigate complex financial services fields and break problems into manageable parts.
• Proficient in financial modelling (Excel/Sheets) and comfortable extracting data with SQL/Python.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify trends and actions.
• Good interpersonal and influencing skills to secure buy-in across functions.

Responsibilities

• Be the sole finance partner between the business and finance, engaging senior leaders on commercial projects.
• Dive deep into data to uncover profitability trends and opportunities for growth.
• Scope new markets and products, design commercials for business cases and negotiate with partners.
• Present ideas and collaborate with engineering, legal, risk, product, strategy and marketing.
• Design processes for scalable decision making as Monzo grows.
• Help develop a skilled team of financial analysts with clear growth goals.
