Job summary

Maycomb Capital seeks a strategic, execution‑oriented Director of Finance & Operations to lead financial management and operational infrastructure across management company and funds. You will partner with leadership, manage budgeting, treasury, and regulatory coordination, and drive scalable processes for growth.

You will oversee finance, fund operations, and firm infrastructure, coordinating with external service providers and supporting Maycomb’s mission‑driven impact investing platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in private equity, private credit, investment management, fund operations, fund accounting, or related fields.
• Experience managing a team.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead firmwide budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across the management company and multiple fund entities.
• Oversee budget-to-actual reporting, cash-flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and financial performance analysis.
• Oversee treasury operations, including banking relationships, cash positioning, payment workflows, and financial controls across fund and management company accounts.
• Develop deep expertise in Maycomb’s fund structures and ensure financial reporting reflects underlying operations and investment activity.
• Coordinate quarterly investor reporting processes with the investor relations team and fund administrators.
• Partner with the investment team and fund administrator to manage capital calls, distributions, financing activity, and portfolio cash flows.
