Job summary

Next Street, a mission-driven consulting firm, seeks a Director of Finance & Administration to lead finance, operations, HR and planning. You will manage a small team, drive budgeting and reporting, and partner with the CEO and management to execute the firm’s strategic plan across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in financial strategy and business operations management in a professional services environment.
• Bachelor’s degree from a top university; Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred.
• Financial and operational modeling experience including three-statement models.
• Strong Excel skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Analytical, strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to synthesize multiple data sources into decision-ready formats.
• Drive for continuous improvement and scalable solutions.
• Attention to detail with strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent judgment and interpersonal skills; experience mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee finance, operations, business planning and HR administration as part of the management team.
• Lead and develop a three-person direct team with broader oversight across four staff.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, audits and tax filings.
• Drive financial analyses, forecasting models and strategic insights.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and governance across offices and functions.
• Steer IT, legal, and administrative operations in partnership with internal and external resources.
• Develop management dashboards and data systems aligned with the strategic plan.
• Support fundraising and potential M&A activities as relevant.
