Job summary

BigBear.ai seeks a Director of Finance & Business Operations to act as the finance and operations partner to the BU leader. This remote role (NCR preferred) owns forecasting, close, quote-to-cash, revenue operations, pricing governance, and procurement governance, ensuring audit-ready controls and reports.

The role requires 10+ years in federal/defense contracting finance, managing analysts, and close alignment with corporate Finance, with a strong focus on ARR, billing, and government

Qualifications

• 10+ years of finance leadership in a federal/defense context.
• Ownership of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for a P&L.
• Experience with order-to-cash and billing operations and GL reconciliation.
• Knowledge of federal contracting, contract vehicles, FAR/DFARS.
• Advanced financial modeling and data integration from billing, CRM, and accounting systems.
• Clear communication to executive and nontechnical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for the business unit.
• Manage and develop the Finance/Operations team.
• Bridge pipeline to revenue and manage headcount, spend, margin planning.
• Own quote-to-cash processes and revenue recognition.
• Integrate with corporate Finance and support SOX control owners.
• Develop dashboards and AI-assisted tooling for revenue metrics.
