Job summary

NCD is seeking a Director, FP&A to build and lead the planning function. You will own the budget, forecast, long-range plan, and decision support across the company, partnering with the CFO on capital planning and lender reporting. You will model, hire, and develop a team, and drive AI-enabled improvements in planning.

The role emphasizes ownership of driver-based models, P&Ls, and cross-functional collaboration with Data, Finance, and executives. This is a remote US role with flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, accounting, economics, or a quantitative field.
• 8+ years in FP&A, investment banking, corporate development, or Big 4, including 3+ years leading FP&A at an operating company.
• Built or scaled FP&A processes with planning cadence and reporting.
• Expert financial modeling, including three-statement models, capital structure, and debt.
• Experience presenting results and recommendations to executives, lenders, or investors.
• Experience managing and developing analysts.
• Data fluency: worked with data/BI teams, can read SQL, and knows reliable metric definitions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning calendar: annual operating plan, rolling forecast, and three-year plan.
• Design FP&A processes that scale and include version control and documentation.
• Own the driver-based model and P&Ls by carrier program, product line, and channel.
• Run monthly business reviews with the executive team and drive actions.
• Own cash, liquidity, and debt capacity forecasting; support lender reporting.
• Evaluate new products, carrier programs, distributor agreements, and acquisitions.
• Partner with Data on metrics layer and dashboards; set data priorities and determine model vs BI tool usage.
• Define AI usage in FP&A and implement workflows for data pulls, reconciliations, and commentary.
• Select and implement a planning tool when needed.
• Hire, develop, and manage FP&A analysts.
• Support annual audit, valuations, and owner reporting.
