Job summary

Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the finance and IT functions from Armada, MI. You will own financial strategy, planning, and performance, partnering with the President on capital investment, growth, and long-range health.

This senior role oversees budgeting, cash flow, treasury, accounting, and reporting, directing the finance team with the Controller, and driving monthly reviews and cross-functional decision making across operations, retail, and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years progressive finance and accounting experience, including leadership of a finance function.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership or ownership on strategic financial decisions.
• Strong command of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Experience managing banking relationships including credit facilities and covenant reporting.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to lead, develop, and retain a finance team.
• Experience owning or overseeing an IT function or capability to take it on.
• Familiarity with systems infrastructure including databases, networks and security.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and analyses to President and ownership with clarity.
• Build the financial case for major decisions such as new locations, capital projects, acquisitions, and expansion.
• Provide financial guidance to department leaders across Farm Ops, Food & Beverage, Retail, Events, and Production.
• Translate strategy into financial plans and results into actionable insights for leaders.
