Job summary

Huber's Orchard & Winery in Borden, IN seeks an experienced Controller to lead all accounting and financial functions across the enterprise. This hands-on role supports ownership and senior leadership with reporting, planning, and controls.

You will oversee treasury collaboration, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance, while strengthening systems and processes across divisions, including manufacturing and beverage operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 5+ years in a senior role.
• Experience managing financial operations in a multi-entity environment.
• Hands-on with cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing accounting.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise, including PO and Inventory Management Control.
• Knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, financial reporting, inventory management and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting functions across all entities, including financial reporting, GL, auditing, compliance, and controls.
• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for all entities.
• Develop and maintain division-level profit and loss statements for each operating division.
• Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to ownership and senior leadership.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting with department and division leaders.
• Own the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Oversee AP/AR, payroll, and GL reconciliation.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and reporting.
• Administer document retention and ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
• Oversee and optimize QuickBooks Enterprise across all entities and divisions.
