Job summary

OpenAI, Inc. is hiring a Strategic Finance Generalist to drive strategic decisions across transactions, capital markets, and cross-functional initiatives. The role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid model (3 days in the office per week) and relocation assistance for new employees.

You will partner with Research, Data, and Corporate Development, create executive presentations, and distill financial drivers into actionable insights to inform growth and resource allocation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or buy-side investing with strategy and operations at a fast-paced tech company.
• Ability to evaluate opportunities and risks in financials.
• Ability to distill complex data into actionable insights and communicate with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic projects across transactions, capital markets, and market research.
• Provide finance business partnership to Research and program funding.
• Create high-quality presentations communicating OpenAI’s financial performance.
• Distill cost drivers into metrics for communicating performance and planning growth.
• Identify opportunities across P&L, cash flow and balance sheet.
• Stay current on market trends and benchmarks.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Corporate Finance to evolve reporting and operations.
