Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Director, Finance of Product & Engineering in the United States. This high-visibility finance leadership role partners with senior technical leaders to align product strategy, roadmaps, headcount, and operating spend with financial outcomes.

You will shape investment decisions, forecast rigor, and the financial narrative behind product development economics, improving planning and P&L connection across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of FP&A or strategic finance experience, ideally supporting Product, Engineering, R&D in SaaS/enterprise tech.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA/CFA/CPA preferred.
• Proven experience partnering with SVP-level stakeholders with executive presence and judgment.
• Strong driver-based forecasting models including headcount-to-cost and roadmap-to-cost.
• Ability to translate complex inputs into structured assumptions, scenarios, and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance partner to senior Product & Engineering leaders, supporting budgets, forecasts, roadmaps, and investment decisions.
• Translate business priorities into financial implications, tradeoffs, and recommendations.
• Own financial plans, forecasts, and long-range views for the organization, ensuring roadmap changes are reflected in headcount and cost expectations.
• Establish and maintain roadmap-to-P&L linkage by translating product decisions into forward-looking headcount, cost, and resource-allocation forecasts.
• Partner with leadership on investment prioritization, resource tradeoffs, and portfolio reallocation decisions.
• Develop visibility into product-development economics, including cost and ROI of major investment areas.
• Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with driver-based narratives covering performance, risks, opportunities, and actions.
• Build KPI and assumption frameworks connecting roadmap execution, hiring plans, productivity, and spending performance.
• Produce category forecasts according to standards and participate in accountability processes.
• Model and stress-test forecast assumptions across rate, volume, timing, and mix with clear drivers.
• Explain variances at driver level and incorporate run-rate expectations.
• Identify forecast risks early and work with leaders on mitigation plans.
• Validate Cost of Revenue centers and headcount data for consolidated reporting.
• Collaborate with adjacent FP&A teams on cross-functional initiatives.
• Represent Product & Engineering in FP&A and long-range planning processes.
• Ensure executive reviews connect strategy, performance, financial outcomes, risks, and opportunities.
