Job summary

The Calendar Group, headquartered in Deerfield Beach, FL, seeks a Senior Director of Finance to lead the corporate finance function across multiple entities on-site. This executive role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and drives close, reporting, tax posture, FP&A, payroll, controls, and strategic financial advisory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of senior finance leadership experience.
• Proven ability to build and manage a small finance team across multiple entities.
• Hands-on with QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage Intacct, NetSuite in multi-entity setups.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred; MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close across all entities.
• Maintain the chart of accounts, accounting policies, and reporting structures.
• Oversee intercompany accounting, shared-service allocations, and related reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll processing, payroll-to-general-ledger reconciliation, and final payroll sign-off before close.
• Partner with the VP on the annual budgeting process.
• Provide clear financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Support corporate banking relationships.
• Coordinate the external audit from planning through completion, including schedules, documentation, fieldwork, and follow-up.
• Manage the relationship with the external CPA firm and coordinate the scope and delivery of professional services.
• Own the finance technology environment, including accounting, payroll, expense, payment, close, and reporting systems.
• Establish and standardize finance processes, including close checklists, reporting packages, budget templates, variance reporting, and cash forecasting.
• Continuously improve financial systems, processes, and reporting to increase accuracy, efficiency, and visibility across the organization.
