Job summary

Highspring LLC (d/b/a Vaco by Highspring) is seeking a Director of Finance in Birmingham, AL to partner with executive leadership, guiding budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning. The role leads financial reporting and analytics to drive business performance and growth.

The candidate will develop robust financial models, provide timely insights, and collaborate with department leaders to improve profitability and efficiency, while mentoring the FP&A team and advancing BI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA/CPA/CFA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive finance experience with FP&A leadership responsibilities.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting, financial modeling, and leadership responsibilities.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience utilizing ERP systems, reporting platforms, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget process, monthly forecasting cycles, and long-range financial planning initiatives.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support operational, strategic and investment decisions.
• Provide executive leadership with timely analysis of financial and operational performance.
• Partner with department leaders to evaluate business trends, identify opportunities and improve financial outcomes.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages.
• Analyze key performance indicators and develop actionable recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Support M&A activities, capital investments, and other strategic initiatives through financial modeling and due diligence.
• Drive process improvements, reporting automation, and enhanced use of financial systems and business intelligence tools.
• Lead, mentor, and develop FP&A team members while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
