Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is assisting a client seeking an FP&A Analyst to join a growing finance team in a hybrid role in Birmingham, AL. You will support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making alongside leadership.

The ideal candidate has public accounting experience, a strong accounting foundation, CPA or CPA-track preferred, and advanced Excel skills to build and analyze large data sets while communicating insights to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Public accounting experience required.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the annual budget process and periodic forecasts.
• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to management.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting packages for leadership.
• Support variance analysis and help explain key drivers impacting business performance.
• Partner with operational leaders to evaluate performance, profitability, and growth opportunities.
• Improve reporting processes and contribute to finance transformation initiatives.
• Participate in special projects and cross-functional business initiatives.
