Qualifications

• Advanced degree in accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Five+ years’ experience as a financial administrator, or similar; GAAP knowledge.
• Proven experience as a financial controller; strong ledger and month-end close.
• Excellent communication, organization, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial and accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Evaluate and enhance financial controls and tax return procedures.
• Maximize returns on excess cash balances and improve closing and reporting cycles.
• Analyze trends to reduce financial risks associated with investments or spending decisions.
• Prepare internal audits and financial risk assessments, and assist with interventions.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Build a professional finance team and streamline processes with technology.
• Lead coordination of external audits and support CFO and management on special projects.
