Job summary

Sitreps in Nashville is seeking an in-house finance leader to build the accounting function from the ground up. You will close the books, implement SOPs, and deliver clean financials to the President and sponsor as the business scales.

This role partners as a strategic advisor, owning reporting, KPIs, and lender relationships, with a credible path to CFO for the right candidate. Expect an equity-backed environment with growth potential.

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent with hands-on accounting, journal entries and accruals.
• 8+ years of total experience, including post-audit.
• Controller-level experience in small or mid-size companies.
• GAAP knowledge and ability to build an in-house function from scratch.
• Fully able to operate in an industrial warehouse environment and partner with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own all accounting functions: close monthly/quarterly/annual books.
• Build the finance function: systems, reporting, KPIs, team as business scales.
• Partner with the President and sponsor on strategy and decision-making.
• Budget, forecast, and provide variance analysis; drive margins with ops.
• Support diligence, modeling, and integration during platform acquisitions.
