Vaco is seeking a Controller in Beachwood, OH to lead the company’s accounting and financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, manage daily accounting activities, and support strategic decision-making.

This onsite, direct-hire role partners with ownership and department heads to drive profitability, cash flow management, and internal controls while mentoring the accounting team and aligning plans with corporate goals.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of accounting leadership.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel and ERP software proficiency; excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard assets and implement internal controls across departments.
• Oversee daily accounting activities including AP, payroll, and inventory.
• Manage month-end and year-end closings and financial analysis.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements.
• Mentor and develop direct reports; deliver timely financial reporting.
• Collaborate with operations to support business objectives.
• Oversee data integrity across systems and manage cash flow projections.
