Job summary

Prairie Exteriors is seeking a Director of Finance and Controller to lead accounting operations and financial planning. You will ensure accurate reporting, manage cash flow, and partner with leadership to improve profitability.

The role is hands-on and involves supervising staff, coordinating with outside bookkeepers and CPAs, and strengthening internal controls while guiding strategic financial decisions.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive accounting experience including month-end close and financial reporting.
• Experience supervising accounting staff and managing financial processes.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, customer deposits, and progress billing.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly and year-end close processes with reconciliations and journal entries.
• Deliver accurate financial statements including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Oversee AP/AR, payroll accounting, and general ledger activity.
