Job summary

Public Health – Seattle and King County (PHSKC) seeks a Chief of Financial Strategy and Compliance to strengthen the department's finance infrastructure and guide strategic budgeting. You will lead a central Office of Financial Management and Compliance and mentor a team of over 30 finance professionals.

With a $500M+ annual budget, you will shape long-range financial plans, ensure robust internal controls, manage grants, and represent the department to the Executive Office and King County

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least seven years of experience in finance; management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GASB, and Federal and State grant accounting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department budget development and financial management.
• Ensure compliance with funder requirements and internal controls.
• Lead long-range financial planning and sustainability efforts.
• Provide financial analyses to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Represent the department to the Executive Office and King County Council.
