Job summary

The Administrative Services Division of King County’s Department of Public Health invites applications for the Financial Compliance Manager (Finance and Administrative Services Manager). The role sits on the Office of Financial Management and Compliance leadership team, reporting to the Chief of Financial Strategy and Compliance.

Qualifications

• Commitment to equity and social justice
• Minimum five years of compliance oversight for large federal/state grants
• Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, accounting or finance
• At least three years supervising Grants Compliance staff
• Experience with external/internal audits and grant management
• Ability to lead people in a matrixed team and communicate clearly
• Familiarity with Federal/State grant rules (2CFR200, RCW, WAC)

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance oversight for federal, state and other grants with strong internal controls.
• Serve as audit liaison coordinating SAO and other audits with FBOD support.
• Develop and maintain a department-wide contract monitoring manual.
• Coach and evaluate staff; assign work and support training needs.
• Collaborate with CPRES and program staff to ensure GAAP compliance and policy adherence.
• Participate in process improvement for budget, finance and internal controls.
