Job summary

INNOCEAN USA in Huntington Beach is seeking a Finance Supervisor to oversee client billing for creative accounts, AR/AP reconciliation, and monthly reporting. The role includes reviewing expense reports, aiding with month-end close, and developing accurate internal and client accruals.

It's a hybrid position with three days in-office per week. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in accounting/finance, a finance or accounting degree, advanced Excel skills (Power Query), and experience with billing

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Accounting & Finance/working in a similar role.
• Accounting Experience
• Knowledge of Advertising or production industry preferred
• Exceptional computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel & Power Query)
• AI tools experience forward thinking
• Bachelor's Degree required, Finance or Accounting Degree preferred
• Ability to work overtime, especially at month-end
• Strong knowledge of billing and accounting concepts
• Strong analytical skills, detail oriented
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
• Capable of making timely, independent decisions
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Ability to work well in an environment with firm deadlines; results oriented
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Manage Month end closing P&L reporting
• Process monthly billing transactions and reconcile against budgets & PO’s
• Forecasting and budgeting support
• WIP Monitoring and ledger reconciliation
• Review and process expense reports on a weekly basis
• Collaborate with internal teams regularly regarding any invoice discrepancies
• Work closely with Business Affairs and Accounts for timely billing and accrual reconciliation
• Prepare internal and client accruals on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
• Follow up with client on a regular basis to maintain healthy Aged AR/AP balance
• Review & process weekly mass payment batches to vendors
• Prepare monthly reports for internal departments and clients
• Supervise staff on team, assisting with daily tasks and reviewing deliverables
• Evaluate internal processes and provide insight for process efficiency as needed
