Hadley Designs seeks a Director of Finance and Accounting to own the full finance function and build scalable systems that fuel growth toward $100M and beyond.

You will lead cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy, partnering with leadership to improve profitability and EBITDA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including 3+ years in leadership.
• Proven budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling experience.
• Experience implementing scalable systems and automation in growing organizations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, compliance, and tax standards.
• Proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks, or advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; strategy to clarity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver audit-ready financials by the 20th of each month with full reconciliation and zero material errors.
• Build and maintain a rolling 12-month cash forecast with weekly updates.
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting with ≤10% variance.
• Develop automated systems reducing manual reporting time by 25% in year 1.
• Partner with leadership to improve profitability and EBITDA by 2 percentage points in year 1.
• Create and document SOPs for close, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting.
• Implement new systems for expense management, travel, and purchasing by Month 6.
• Produce insightful dashboards and KPIs to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with Product, Sales, Operations to align growth, cash flow, and inventory.
• Evaluate ERP/reporting tools to scale Hadley Designs.
