Job summary

Hadley Designs is seeking a Strategic Finance Director to lead the full finance function in a remote-first environment. You’ll design scalable systems, steer cash flow, drive profitability, and guide growth toward a $100M revenue trajectory with discipline and insight.

You’ll build forecasting models, own monthly closes, budgets, and dashboards, partner with product, sales, and ops, evaluate ERP solutions, and mentor a purpose-driven finance team committed to accuracy, clarity, and sustainable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
• 5+ years in finance or accounting with 3+ years in leadership.
• Proven budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling skills.
• Experience implementing scalable systems and automation.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, compliance, and tax standards.
• Proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks, or advanced Excel/Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver audit-ready financials by the 20th of each month with full reconciliation.
• Maintain a 12-month rolling cash forecast updated weekly for liquidity.
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting with ≤10% variance.
• Develop automated reporting systems to reduce manual effort by ≥25%.
• Improve EBITDA by 2 percentage points in 12 months.
• Create SOPs for close, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting processes.
• Implement new systems for expense management, travel, and purchasing by Month 6.
• Produce dashboards and KPIs to drive smarter decisions.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Operations on growth and inventory planning.
• Evaluate ERP and reporting tools to scale operations.
