Job summary

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. in the United States seeks a Director of Field Operations to lead field force operations across CNS and Nephrology, guiding territory alignment, speaker programs, samples management and fleet.

You will report to the Executive Director of Marketing and Sales Operations and manage five direct reports with cross-functional influence. The role demands strategic leadership, vendor management, and strong collaboration with commercial, market access and medical affairs

Qualifications

• 7–10 years pharmaceutical industry experience in sales/field operations or similar consulting experience.
• Significant field force alignment design, development, implementation, communications, change management, and assessment experience.
• Strong communication skills, able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing; critical thinking and active listening skills.
• Experience leading and coaching teams in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations enabling field-facing capabilities for commercial, market access and medical affairs field teams.
• Lead field operations team to coordinate samples management, territory sizing/alignment, speaker bureau programs, fleet, onboarding/offboarding and credentialing.
• Provide territory deployment analyses to cross-functional leadership and support sales force deployment initiatives.
• Collaborate with IT, HR, finance and other partners to drive process improvements and cost/revenue impact.
