Job summary

University at Albany is seeking a Faculty Development Specialist to provide strategic and operational support for Academic Affairs initiatives. The role collaborates with the Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Development and reports to the Senior Associate Vice President/ Chief of Staff.

The incumbent will coordinate tenure and promotion processes, manage faculty-related programs, and oversee data collection, reporting, and secure records within a supportive university environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in project management and handling confidential personnel matters.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Experience with PeopleSoft and BI software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate faculty personnel processes for tenure-track faculty and related filings.
• Administer CPCA coordination, meetings, and summary reports.
• Support Faculty Development and Provost Office operations and data tracking.
• Oversee Work-Study and Self-Study processes as assigned.
