Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Facilities Materials Manager to oversee all purchasing and procurement for Hospital Facilities and Construction. You will authorize expenditures, establish contracts, and track materials across projects, ensuring compliance and sustainability goals.

The role supervises staff, coordinates with departments, and supports administrative objectives. Strong communication and contract-management skills are essential.

Formación

• Associate degree required; verification of degree is required for this role.
• At least 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, contract administration, materials management, or related function; strong knowledge of state procurement processes.
• Preferred qualifications include BA and 10+ years of experience; experience with inventory reconciliation, cost tracking, financial auditing; proficiency with facility management and project tracking systems (e.g., CPR).

Responsabilidades

• Oversee division purchasing and authorize expenditures across cost centers.
• Coordinate contract development and set up contracts and purchase orders.
• Monitor contracts, purchase orders, and financial data; approve invoicing.
• Forecast future construction project material requirements and coordinate delivery dates.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, CPR, and state regulations; prepare materials reconciliation at project closeout.
