Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Category Specialist to support fabrication sourcing for Ground Support Equipment programs. You will develop strategies for steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and value-added fabrication, and drive supplier negotiations and cost-reduction initiatives.

You will partner with procurement, engineering, manufacturing, and supplier performance teams to mitigate supply risks and improve processes across Oshkosh AeroTech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in Supply Chain or related field.
• Travel 10–20% expected.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for fabrication, including steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and coatings.
• Lead sourcing and cost-reduction projects from planning to implementation.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships; negotiate agreements.
• Analyze spend, pricing trends, and total cost of ownership for cost savings.
• Identify supplier capacity, quality, delivery, and continuity risks and mitigate.
• Collaborate with procurement, engineering, manufacturing and supplier performance teams.
• Research markets and support long-term category strategies; standardize processes.
