Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) is seeking an Event Specialist to plan, coordinate, and execute corporate, employee and community events that positively influence perceptions and business outcomes. You will collaborate with internal clients to define goals, manage resources, and ensure events meet brand standards.

The role requires evening/weekend work and potential statewide overnight travel. A hybrid work model is used, with about 40% in-person at APS locations and residency in Arizona.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, communications or other job-related field from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years relevant experience in managing/coordinating community, non-profit and/or work-related events.
• In lieu of bachelors degree, seven (7) years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal clients to establish goals and desired outcomes for corporate, employee and community events.
• Plan and execute corporate and community event activities, assess resource requirements and manage materials and logistics.
• Coordinate activities of vendors and outside agencies in event planning and execution.
• Manage assigned budgets and allocations for events and activities.
• Coordinate event preparation stages through setup and teardown, and produce materials for distribution.
• Contribute to internal/external communications, modeling corporate standards and confidentiality.
• Procure giveaways and other company materials as needed.
