Job summary

Tarana Wireless is seeking an experienced Event Marketing Manager to own the end-to-end event strategy for a fast-growing tech company. You will manage a portfolio of 60-70 shows annually, plan booth layouts, negotiate contracts, and oversee budgets and ROI analyses to ensure events align with sales goals.

You will collaborate with Sales and Marketing to optimize campaigns, drive leads, and coordinate Tarana-hosted events both in person and virtually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in event planning, field marketing, tradeshow coordination, or similar in B2B or tech.
• Excellent organization and thorough project management, even under a time crunch.
• Ability to roll with punches and excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaboration and superb communication, both written and verbal.
• Diligent budget management and ROI analysis.
• Solid understanding of social media (primarily LinkedIn, and also Facebook, X, Instagram and YouTube).

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage Tarana's event portfolio, align events with business goals and target accounts, lead event initiatives and be accountable for outcomes.
• Recommend to Sales and Marketing leadership ways to improve event strategy and execution.
• Oversee the annual calendar of events — 60-70 shows per year of varying size/scope.
• Plan and implement booth layouts (swag orders, displays, furniture, rentals).
• Negotiate show contracts, manage vendor relationships and supervise collaborations.
• Handle all shipping & handling of event materials for setup and takedown.
• Build a yearly budget plan, reforecast, and conduct ROI analysis for events.
• Maintain relationships with Tarana Sales and internal teams supporting events.
• Submit purchase requisitions and track expenses; ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Assist with planning and on-site production for Tarana-hosted events (agenda, speakers, registration).
• Manage promotions via website, email, social media, and other channels.
• Travel to support events roughly 4 times per year.
• Office presence required: at least three days per week.
