Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Project Manager to lead technology implementations, ERP workstreams, and business process transformations for government and commercial clients. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum five years of project management experience required.
• Three or more years managing technology implementations and ERP workstreams required.
• Experience coordinating multi-workstream projects with various stakeholders and vendors.
• Experience with ERP implementation activities and government contracts preferred.
• Experience within professional services or government contracting organizations preferred.
• PM certification (PMP, CAPM, CSM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages technology implementations, ERP workstreams, business process transformations, and post-transaction integration activities from planning through closeout.
• Develops project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, communication plans, and work breakdown structures.
• Coordinates project activities across client stakeholders, government agencies, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and technical teams.
• Incorporates government contracting requirements into planning, reporting, documentation, compliance, and change management.
• Establishes meeting schedules, reporting routines, escalation procedures, and decision-tracking processes.
• Defines scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and performance measures.
• Coordinates ERP implementation activities across requirements gathering, design, configuration, integrations, data conversion, testing, training, deployment, and stabilization.
• Maintains risk registers, issue logs, action plans, decision logs, and lessons-learned records.
• Tracks budgets, labor utilization, subcontractor costs, invoices, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Supports proposal development, solution design, pricing activities, and project mobilization.
• Maintains relationships with government clients, sponsors, project teams, and vendors.
• Applies project management methodologies, templates, tools, controls, and quality practices.
• Identifies opportunities to improve project delivery, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or Public Administration

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or Public Administration

Five (5) or more years of project management experience

Three (3) or more years managing technology implementations

Experience managing project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, scope changes, vendors, or subcontractors

Experience coordinating projects with multiple workstreams, dependencies, stakeholders, and project deliverables

Two (2) or more years supporting ERP implementation activities

Experience with government contracts or public-sector clients

Experience within professional services, consulting, systems integration, or government contracting

PMI- or CAPM-related certifications preferred (PMP, CAPM, CSM)
