Job summary

TAS Energy Inc., a Houston, TX based engineered modular solutions provider, is seeking a Purchasing Expeditor to accelerate procurement of equipment, parts and services within an ERP/MRP environment.

Responsibilities include reconciling BOMs to planned orders, maintaining supplier communication, expediting POs, monitoring delivery commitments and resolving receiving discrepancies to keep production on schedule.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in purchasing/expediting in a custom engineered manufacturing environment with ERP/MRP systems.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma acceptable with industry experience.
• APICS CPIM certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile BOMs to planned orders and issued POs and resolve discrepancies with Configuration Management and Purchasing.
• Assure an uninterrupted flow of materials, supplies and services required to operate the organization.
• Maintain frequent supplier communication regarding progress, shipment status, and delivery commitments from order placement to receipt.
• Review and maintain vendor PO promise dates and receipt of materials in the ERP system.
• Lead supplier meetings to monitor PO promise dates, address delivery risks and ensure timely receipt of materials.
• Follow up purchases to expedite orders and adjust amounts, materials, or specifications as needed.
• Develop and monitor supplier recovery plans for quality issues or delays.
• Communicate order risks and schedule changes to TAS stakeholders.
