Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) seeks an Environmental/Energy Manager to ensure compliance with EMS, energy plans, and DoD sustainability requirements for NSA Annapolis facilities. You will develop, implement, and monitor environmental policies, train staff, and coordinate with agencies through the Contracting Officer to maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated National Agency Check Investigation (NACI).
• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years’ experience with environmental procedures on BOS services contracts (or equivalent) of similar size, scope, and complexity.
• Familiarity with Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and knowledge of environmental regulations and federal energy laws applicable to BOS-like operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee environmental compliance and energy management for facility maintenance and utilities operations under a DoD contract.
• Ensure adherence to EMS, Installation Energy Plan, and sustainability requirements impacting contract performance.
• Lead development and implementation of environmental strategies and training programs for staff.
• Serve as primary point of contact for environmental and energy compliance across all contract activities.
• Develop and monitor programs to promote sustainable development and energy/water reduction.
• Conduct audits to identify improvements and ensure regulatory compliance.
