Job summary

Perplexity is seeking an experienced Billing Operations Manager to join our Finance and Accounting team as we scale our enterprise business. You will own the enterprise billing lifecycle, translating complex commercial agreements into accurate, timely invoices and building the processes and controls that support our growth.

This hands-on role collaborates with Deal Desk, Enterprise Sales, Legal, and Customer Success to ensure seamless billing, renewals, and true-ups.

Qualifications

7+ years in billing operations or related finance functions.
Experience handling enterprise SaaS or subscription billing.
Ability to translate complex contracts into billing configurations.
Strong cross-functional collaboration with Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, Customer Success.
Solid understanding of ASC 606.

Responsibilities

Own enterprise billing lifecycle from setup to invoicing, renewals, and cancellations.
Review nonstandard terms with sales and legal before signing.
Translate pricing and terms into billing configurations.
Serve as primary contact for billing inquiries and disputes.
Support month-end close with reconciliations and documentation.
Manage integrations and resolve billing system issues.
Assist renewal negotiations and credit/true-up analyses.
