Job summary

Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Energy Management division seeks an experienced professional to evaluate energy projects, manage programming and grants, and supervise installations on reserve facilities.

The role requires a BS in Environmental Policy and Planning or Civil Engineering, 5+ years in energy/PM, and certification (CEM or BOC). Travel is required; onsite work environment with Exempt status.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Environmental Policy and Planning or Civil Engineering required.
  • Five years of field experience in energy management or related areas required.
  • Must have Building Operator Certification or Certified Energy Manager; if not, certify within 6 months.
  • Knowledge of regulations, data analysis, and project management required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate energy-related projects to reduce costs and improve efficiency during design and construction phases.
  • Develop energy programming and manage grants for the reservation.
  • Review energy systems, HVAC, lighting, and green building specs for compliance.
  • Inspect and supervise installation of energy equipment for residential/commercial use.
  • Coordinate with engineers, customers, and band members on project status and needs.
  • Identify energy savings opportunities and recommend improvements.
  • Provide energy training and mentorship to staff and interns.
