Job summary

Google is seeking a Strategic Negotiator to secure cost-effective energy and infrastructure solutions for its global data center portfolio. You will evaluate regulatory environments, design engagement strategies, and coordinate with product, policy, and infrastructure teams to align energy needs with Google’s 24/7 carbon-free goals.

In this role, you will lead coalitions across the Southwest Power Pool, manage multi-stakeholder processes, and influence regional regulatory outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience negotiating and structuring agreements or leading business development.
• Experience in energy regulatory processes and market design in the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) footprint is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic evaluations of regulatory and wholesale market environments across the SPP footprint to assess risks and opportunities for data center portfolio.
• Develop and lead energy market and regulatory solutions to address Google’s electricity supply needs across SPP.
• Collaborate with Global Infrastructure, Product, Public Policy, and Commercial teams to align energy positions with infrastructure goals.
• Lead energy advocacy and coalition-building within stakeholder committees and regional associations.
