Google is seeking a Strategic Negotiator - Energy Regulatory and Policy to lead energy regulatory initiatives at FERC, ensuring cost-effective power for data centers and supporting carbon-free energy goals. You will craft regulatory strategy, file and manage proceedings, and partner with Legal, Public Policy, and Finance to de-risk innovative power arrangements.

Formación

• 10 years of experience leading negotiations or business development.
• 8 years of experience in energy regulatory policy, wholesale electricity market design, or energy market development.
• 5 years of experience leading regulatory proceedings, interventions, filings, or compliance initiatives before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
• 3 years of experience in people management or team leadership within the energy or infrastructure sectors.

Responsabilidades

• Establish, execute, and oversee Google's overarching strategy and regulatory posture before FERC, proactively managing regulatory proceedings across our growing energy infrastructure portfolio.
• Lead strategic evaluations of federal regulatory environments, policies, and wholesale rulemakings, analyzing evolving market design to assess risk and optimize Google's speed-to-power initiatives.
• Design and execute regulatory filings and approvals before FERC, leading interventions and authorizations for asset acquisitions, project structures, and innovative power arrangements.
• Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Government Affairs and Public Policy, Energy Commercial, and Finance leaders to de-risk innovative commercial structures and ensure compliance with federal requirements.
• Lead regulatory oversight across complex commercial transactions and interconnections, translating federal policies into clear roadmaps to mitigate risk and accelerate power delivery.
