Job summary

Frontier Energy in Austin, TX seeks a technically skilled, customer‑focused SEM professional to launch and grow our Strategic Energy Management program for commercial, institutional, and industrial customers in Texas. You will pair hands‑on facility investigations with HVAC/controls expertise and energy analysis to identify lasting energy improvements.

The ideal candidate has practical experience with HVAC systems, BAS/EMS/BMS, or industrial controls and will work with customers and facilities

Qualifications

4+ years of work experience related to HVAC, building automation, energy management, or industrial controls.
Strong written and verbal communication to build trust with customers.
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing workload.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Word).
Ability to travel up to 30% regionally and work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary SEM technical advisor and energy coach for customers.
Develop strong relationships with Facility Champions and operations staff.
Conduct detailed facility walkthroughs and energy assessments at large facilities.
Investigate HVAC, controls, BAS/EMS/BMS, lighting, and other energy systems.
Coordinate with BAS/EMS/BMS and control systems to identify optimization opportunities.
Translate opportunities into concrete energy management action plans.
Track implementation and verify ongoing effectiveness of changes.
