Job summary

Optimum Energy is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee energy retrofit, new construction and building projects from planning through commissioning. You will manage resources, submittals, procurement, and IT connections to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and achievement of the company’s revenue and gross margin targets.

The role requires 5+ years of direct project management in non-residential building construction, strong leadership, and expertise with HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; technical college certification with 10 years of project management experience acceptable
• 5+ years of direct project management experience in non-residential building construction
• Experience with HVAC, chilled water systems and controls is a plus
• PMP certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction project execution from planning to commissioning
• Manage project costs, change orders, and billing to meet gross margin and cash targets
• Lead safety program implementation and OSHA-compliant practices
• Coordinate planning with Owner and subcontractors; maintain positive customer relationships
• Develop and manage project schedules using Primavera and MS Project; monitor progress and risks
