Job summary

Gusto is seeking an Employee Relations Partner in Denver to serve as a trusted advisor to front-line managers and executives. The role focuses on navigating complex employee issues with sound judgment, while aligning with legal and People Team strategies.

You will help drive performance enablement, inclusivity, and risk management across the organization, partnering with Legal and HR colleagues to protect employees and the business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in an HR Generalist role or 2 years in Employee Relations/HRBP.
• Experience handling sensitive ER matters with discretion and sound judgment.
• Ability to balance stakeholder interests with fairness and equity.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Legal on escalated issues.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Coach managers on performance expectations and development plans.
• Ensure managers comply with HR policies and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Legal and People Partners to assess risk and actions.
• Navigate high-stakes employee situations with judgment and care.
• Maintain documentation across ER cases and surface systemic risks.
