Job summary

Guidehouse in McLean, VA seeks an Employee Relations Consultant with 6+ years of HR experience to support a centralized ER model. You will advise executives, manage disputes, and ensure compliant handling of employment matters across segments and lines of business.

You will mentor managers on performance, leave, accommodations, discipline, and terminations while collaborating with Legal, E&C, and HR COEs. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of related HR experience.
• Extensive experience in employee relations providing guidance on complex issues in exempt and non-exempt environments.
• Knowledge of federal and state EEO laws and HR policies.
• Experience delivering training to management on conflict resolution and management practices.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop partnerships with Segment and Functional leadership to implement Employee Relations strategies.
• Manage the employee grievance process from initiation to closure with documentation and tracking.
• Counsel executives and managers on hiring, performance management, leave, accommodations, and terminations.
• Provide guidance on resolving employee relations issues using progressive discipline.
• Liaise with LOA administrator and Ethics & Compliance on escalated matters.
• Identify trends from case data to inform decisions.
• Support organizational restructuring and large-scale reductions.
• Stay current on employment laws and ensure policy compliance.
• Contribute to development and review of People policies and deliver training.
