TrueNorth Companies seeks an Account Executive for Employee Benefits to lead benefit strategy and client relationships in Cedar Rapids, IA, or West Des Moines. You will manage operations and negotiate stop loss coverage while collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored benefits solutions.

The role requires strong communication, industry knowledge, and fiduciary responsibility. Ideal candidates have at least five years in self-funded health insurance, a college degree (Finance/Business

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in the self-funded health insurance industry.
• Experience upholding fiduciary responsibility for company, client, and/or producer preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and basic PowerPoint.
• College degree or equivalent; Finance/Business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the client relationship throughout the full lifecycle from onboarding to renewal.
• Proactively identify and resolve coverage, service, and relationship risks.
• Lead conversations on coverage, risk strategy, and long-term planning with executive stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes and support retention.
• Analyze client risk profiles, claims data, and market insights to optimize cost of risk.
• Lead discovery, RFP responses, and enterprise risk presentations.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities with Producers and internal teams.
• Travel up to 45% as needed for client engagement and industry events.
