Job summary

OSI Systems, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage high-volume purchasing with a focus on value, quality, and delivery. You will work with manufacturing, engineering, and program offices to keep purchase orders on track and optimize supplier relationships.

The role requires accuracy, negotiation skills, and ability to review requisitions, issue POs, and obtain quotations. Strong Microsoft Office and contract accounting familiarity are preferred, with a path toward career growth.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related buying experience.
• Experience purchasing electronic parts (EEE) and equipment.
• Working knowledge of Contract Accounting.
• Cost point experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint.

Responsibilities

• Reviews requisitions and issues purchase orders based on value, quality, delivery and price.
• Recommends changes or substitutes when materials are not available or quality can improve or costs reduce.
• Coordinates with Program Office, Manufacturing and Engineering for open Purchase Orders statuses.
• Assists in supplier selection through inspections and inquiries, adjudicates differences between CEC and vendors.
• Obtains quotations, selects vendors and liaises between requisitioning departments and suppliers.
• Applies lead-time and quantity price break information for economic lot purchases.
• Advises Sr. Procurement Manager on status of open orders and delinquent orders.
• Reviews rejected parts for source and disposition.
• Uphold company values and code of ethics.
