Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.
• 5 years of directly-related procurement experience.
• Ability to interpret drawings to identify suppliers.
• U.S. Person status required to access export controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Reviews requisitions and issues purchase orders optimizing value, quality, delivery and price.
• Supports setting up long-term agreements with suppliers.
• Maintains vendor relationships and supports supplier selection.
• Assists in supplier qualification through facility inspections and inquiries.
• Obtains quotations and selects vendors.
• Acts as liaison between requisitioning departments and suppliers.
• Provides interpretation support of specifications and materials sources.
• Recommends changes to reduce costs or improve quality when needed.
• Provides lead-time data for economic lot purchases.
• Follows up on open orders through various communications channels.
• Assists Sr. Procurement Manager in reports and records.
• Reviews rejected parts for sourcing and disposition.
• Assists in training buyers.
