Job summary

Motive builds technology to improve the safety, productivity, and profitability of businesses powering the physical economy. We seek a senior sourcing leader to own the commercial strategy for cable, battery, PCB, and connector, partnering with design engineers from early schematic stages to ensure cost, reliability, and lifecycle alignment.

You will negotiate with suppliers, build relationships to ensure material flow, and drive meaningful cost reductions while collaborating with Engineering,

Qualifications

• 7+ years in sourcing and supply chain management for electronics or related industries.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field.
• Strong negotiation skills and contract management experience.
• Excellent analytical skills to drive strategic decisions.
• Experience with global supplier management and cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Set sourcing strategy for cable, battery, PCB, and connector; publish tech roadmaps, landscape, costs, and bets.
• Establish a Preferred Vendor List for engineering with clear, supported partners.
• Run quarterly deep-dives on supplier base with engineering and quality teams.
• Lead negotiations grounded in data and cost models.
• Drive cost reduction using Total Cost of Ownership analysis.
