Job summary

Base is seeking a Global Supply Manager to own commercial relationships with contract manufacturers for electromechanical top-level assemblies, managing total delivered cost and ramp readiness as Base scales.

You will build should-cost models, lead RFx processes, and negotiate ECOs, with responsibility for capacity, lead times, and multi-CM networks.

Travel up to 30% domestically and internationally; you thrive in ambiguity and partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to optimize value.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a similar sourcing role.
• Experience negotiating with CMs on labor rates and NRE terms.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with EMS/CM relationships in EV or energy storage.

Responsibilities

• Own the commercial relationship with contract manufacturers: MSAs, SOWs, labor/value-add neg, NRE terms.
• Build and own the should-cost model for each assembly and roll up total delivered cost.
• Lead RFx scoping through award for new CM qualification and existing CM renegotiation.
• Own configuration control and engineering change management commercially.
• Manage supplier readiness through ramp: lead times, CM footprint, capacity.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing teams to decide what is built in-house vs at CM.
• Provide recommendations on CM awards, contract structures, cost reviews, and supply continuity.
