Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Professional to support the Space Force Range Contract. You will help implement and monitor EHS programs across locations, provide technical guidance, and drive regulatory compliance while training team members.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in an environment, health, or safety field and 3+ years in EHS, with knowledge of OSHA standards and incident prevention. Travel up to 10% may be required. A Secret clearance is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environment, health or safety field or equivalent.
• Three or more years in the EHS industry.
• Experience in safety program compliance and field maintenance.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Waste and Material management processes.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1904, 1910, and 1926; familiarity with NFPA and ANSI standards.
• Background in Industrial Hygiene program requirements and field application.
• Experience delivering effective training on EHS topics.
• Knowledge of Federal environmental regulations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with EESOH-MIS, preferred.
• Experience with USAF standards, preferred.
• Travel up to 10%.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support a comprehensive EHS program.
• Identify and address EHS concerns in assigned areas with minimal supervision.
• Perform Occupational Safety inspections at contract-wide locations and provide technical advice.
• Support development and implementation of new EHS Programs.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective action.
• Perform compliance testing/monitoring and resolve observations.
• Manage hazardous chemicals and waste disposal processes.
• Support regulatory compliance of air, wastewater, and other programs.
• Disseminate regulatory changes to affected parties.
• Create and conduct training on EHS programs.
• Maintain compliance documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
