Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Professional for the Space Force Range Contract to support a comprehensive EHS program across contract-wide locations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in environment, health or safety and 3+ years of EHS experience, with knowledge of OSHA standards, hazardous materials management, and IH program requirements.

Travel up to 10% is anticipated; candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environment, health or safety or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in the EHS industry
• Experience with Safety Program compliance and field maintenance activities
• Knowledge of Hazardous Waste and Material management processes
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR including 1904, 1910, 1926 and related standards
• Background in Industrial Hygiene program requirements and field application
• Experience delivering effective EHS training
• Knowledge of Federal environmental regulations
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with EESOH-MIS preferred
• Experience with USAF standards preferred
• Willingness to travel up to 10%
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Support a comprehensive EHS program across contract locations
• Identify and address EHS concerns with minimal supervision
• Perform occupational safety inspections and provide technical advice
• Support development and implementation of new EHS programs
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective actions
• Perform compliance testing and resolve observations
• Manage hazardous materials handling and disposal processes
• Ensure regulatory compliance of air, wastewater, stormwater, and hazardous materials programs
• Disseminate regulatory updates to affected parties
• Create and conduct EHS trainings
• Maintain compliance documentation
• Perform other duties as assigned
