Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Professional to support the Space Force Range Contract in the United States. The role focuses on maintaining a robust EHS program across contract locations and providing expert guidance to management and field personnel.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of EHS experience, a solid knowledge of OSHA regulations, and credentials such as CSP/CIH/CHMM. Occasional travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an environment, health or safety-related field or equivalent.
• 3+ years in the EHS industry.
• Experience with Safety Program compliance and field maintenance.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Waste and Material management processes.
• OSHA 29 CFR familiarity (1904, 1910, 1926) and related standards.
• Strong training and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a comprehensive EHS program across contract locations.
• Identify and address environmental, health, and safety concerns with minimal supervision.
• Perform Occupational Safety inspections and provide guidance to management and field personnel.
• Develop and implement new EHS programs.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure regulatory compliance testing and follow-up on observations.
• Manage hazardous materials and waste disposal processes.
• Stay updated on environmental regulations and disseminate findings.
